Psychological Horror Title Time To Wake Up Reveals Its Release Date

Belgian indie studio Eye Blink Twice has revealed the release date for its first commercial game, Time To Wake Up. It’s releasing on October 12th, 2026 on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5. Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch versions are also coming soon after.

Time To Wake Up puts you inside the mind of Alan Malone, who wakes up trapped in a dream one night. Alan’s stuck wandering through bizarre school memories, and there’s a mysterious voice that seems to be interested only in his eyes.

Blinking is your way of interacting with this nightmare

You blink to change your surroundings, refresh your memories, switch or reset moving objects, flood entire rooms, and even turn environments around. Alan’s memories are represented through a surreal school environment of hallways, classrooms, libraries, playgrounds, and toilets.

There are hallways made up of dozens of bedrooms, cobwebs of quotes, and never-ending classrooms. At one point, you’ll have to search for a mysterious book inside a locker-based maze while trying not to get too close to creepy-looking students.

The school setting in Time To Wake Up is deliberately dreamy and uncanny. You’ll move through various memories featuring dimly lit libraries, dusty library chambers, classrooms of different sizes, perplexing playgrounds, and slick toilets with twists and turns.

So, it is indeed Time To Wake Up

Alan is essentially travelling back through his own memories while trying to find peace with his inner child and escape the shadows of his past. You’re literally trying to wake up, except waking up means dealing with the memories you’ve been running from. The narrative is about memory, trauma, and the things your mind decides to bury.

Time To Wake Up is releasing on October 12th for Steam and PlayStation 5.
