Dark PS5 Action RPG Is Out Today on PlayStation Store

PlayStation Store has added an 80s-inspired supernatural horror game to its catalog today, November 5, 2026. The action RPG originally launched on PC last year and received positive reviews.

Kingdom of Night is now available on the PlayStation Store. PS5 users can grab the single-player title for $19.99 on the digital storefront. The game was developed by Black Seven Studios and published by Dangen Entertainment.

The T-rated game has earned “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, based on more than 300 ratings. Players have praised its blend of 1980s nostalgia and supernatural horror, as well as its handcrafted pixel-art world, open-ended exploration, character customization options, and local co-op support.

What to expect from Kingdom of Night on PS5?

Originally announced in 2019, Kingdom of Night is an isometric fantasy RPG featuring a story-driven campaign, an expansive map, and an extensive quest system. Set in the 1980s, the game takes place in Miami, Arizona, where a demonic invasion turns an otherwise ordinary night into a fight for survival.

The story follows John, a high school student whose town falls into chaos after a satanic cult accidentally summons the ancient evil Baphomet. John must rescue his friends while exploring the town and confronting demonic creatures, afflicted residents, and other dangerous enemies.

Players can freely explore the town and take on side quests to uncover stories about its residents. The campaign allows players to challenge Demon Generals in any order, with each victory bringing John closer to Baphomet’s stronghold.

The game offers five playable classes to choose from. These include Barbarian, Knight, Rogue, Necromancer, and Sorcerer. Each class comes with branching skill trees, unique abilities, and customizable builds. Players can further tailor their characters with a variety of weapons, armor, and rare loot.

Kingdom of Night also supports both solo play and a two-player local co-op mode to take down the underworld forces together.

A Midnight Edition is also available for PS5, bundling the game with the “Night of ’97” avatar collection. The collection includes 25 exclusive PlayStation Network avatars based on the game. It is priced at $21.99.

Kingdom of Night is also available on Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S.
