A new psychological horror Steam game has transformed Winnie-the-Pooh and his companions into anime girls, putting a unique spin on Christopher Robin’s adventures through the Hundred Acre Wood.
When you think of Winnie-the-Pooh, your mind probably conjures up images of the cute, cuddly bear with a crippling addiction to honey. However, in a move not too dissimilar to Umamusume turning real-life racehorses into anime girl idols, a horror visual novel has transformed Pooh and his pals into waifus (words I’m still struggling to come to terms with).
Yes, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, and co. have all been given an anime girl makeover, and according to the Steam Store page, the visual novel has been tagged as having psychological horror and dating sim elements.
Winnie-the-Pooh gets anime girl horror game
Winnie-the-Pooh: Honey Distortion is an upcoming point-and-click mystery visual novel that has been inspired by A. A. Milne’s stories. Players take on the role of Christopher Robin as they explore the Hundred Acre Wood, unravel mysteries, and make decisions that can lead to different endings.
As shown in the screenshots, Honey Distortion has transformed every character into an anime girl. Winnie-the-Pooh retains the character’s signature red top, but now comes with some added short shorts, while Rabbit is shown wearing a bunny girl outfit.
Meanwhile, Piglet is shown sporting a textured black hairstyle with pink streaks and a matching pink sweater. She’s also shown holding a handgun in one scene, threatening to blow Christopher Robin’s head off (I guess this is where the horror elements come in?).
