Cult Vacui has landed on mobile. The creepy point-and-click horror game by developer LBRTY Games and publisher Dionous Games launched on PC earlier this year. The game takes place in the late 19th century on Barra, a remote island in Scotland.

You play as a janitor maintaining the Gladstone family’s summer estate. Things get messed up pretty quickly when you discover that a creepy cult performed a gruesome blood ritual on the island’s population just one day before you arrived.

Your arrival has ruined the cult’s plans, and you’re now standing in the way of them completing their final act. The ritual can only be considered complete once everyone within the island’s perimeter has been eliminated. So, you’re left with just a few hours to prepare for what’s coming, figure out how to defend yourself, and make it out alive.

Though a point-and-click horror game, Cult Vacui heavily leans into time management

Every action you take eats into the countdown leading up to the ritual’s final act. You’ll need to think about what you’re doing, work out which actions are worth taking, and come up with a strategy that gives you the best chance of surviving.

There are puzzles to solve, too. For instance, there are three survivors left on the island whom you can rescue and recruit to help you defend the house against the cultists. One of them is Sister Dorothy, who you’ll find hanging in the air from chains inside the Our Lady of the Sea church.

Her chains are too strong to be broken by hand or cut with a standard axe. You must find a sharper tool later in the game to free her. The choices you make can lead to multiple endings, giving you different outcomes depending on how you handle the situation.

Cult Vacui uses handcrafted pixel art, giving the game an old-school look that fits its unsettling setting. The game also features an original soundtrack composed by Ascari. Take a look at the game below.

Cult Vacui is available on the Google Play Store for $3.99.
