A Space Crew With Nowhere Left To Turn

Mouthwashing follows the dying crew of a shipwrecked space freighter, where rescue seems increasingly unlikely and supplies are running dangerously low. With the vessel’s power expected to last just six months and food running out much sooner, survival becomes a desperate struggle.

At the centre of the nightmare is Captain Curly. His actions have doomed the crew, yet he remains alive despite being horrifically mutilated and unable to speak. Now dependent on the very people he has led towards disaster, Curly becomes part of a grim story about isolation, starvation and the terrible things people can do to one another.

Psychological Horror Comes To Game Pass

Rather than relying solely on conventional scares, Mouthwashing builds its horror around an unforgiving narrative and the deteriorating relationships between the surviving crew. Players must pay close attention to their surroundings as the story unfolds, with unsettling imagery and psychological twists making it difficult to know what can be trusted.

The Game Pass launch is particularly welcome for horror fans. Subscribers to Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and PC can jump into Mouthwashing from day one without buying it separately, while everyone else can pick it up on the Xbox Store for £10.74.

With its claustrophobic setting and bleak outlook, Mouthwashing offers a very different kind of space adventure – one where the greatest danger may not be the empty darkness outside the ship, but the people trapped inside it.
