Bloober Team Reveals 2.5D Horror Game Onyx: The Dark Grip for Switch 2

Bloober Team has announced Onyx: The Dark Grip, a new 2.5D supernatural horror game exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. Onyx: The Dark Grip will launch in 2027. 

Here’s an overview of the game, via Nintendo:

Survive as a vessel and interfere as a god in this 2.5D supernatural horror game. Play as the mysterious Entity, guiding the actions of a lone traveler who arrives in a desolate ghost town. Manipulate the environment with your supernatural powers, solve puzzles, confront terrifying creatures and don’t let your puppet descend into the depths of madness. Blur the line between the game world and reality.

Konami and Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam). Final Weapon reviewed Silent Hill 2 and gave it a 4.5 out of 5 score, noting the game is “a genuine masterpiece… Bloober Team did an exceptional job with the resurrected title’s story, voice acting, gameplay, and visuals. Additionally, the attention to detail on display throughout the entire experience makes it a must-play for both returning fans as well as those who are playing Silent Hill 2 for the first time.”

Bloober Team is also developing a remake of Silent Hill, with more details to arrive at a later date.
